Working at Nhà Sương

Demo page: when we need people for peak season we list the role, shift (07:00 to 22:00), pay and how to apply. There are no open roles at the moment.

This is a demo page. Nhà Sương is a fictional homestay and there are no open roles. The page shows how a real homestay could write a job notice: what the work is, the hours, who you work with and how to apply. A real house using this page would add the pay, days off and closing date to each role.

The house has eight rooms and four people. When we need help, usually for peak season (nights from 20 December to 28 February) and Tết (Lunar New Year), it is for one of the three jobs below. Shifts sit inside the front-desk hours, 07:00 to 22:00, except for some early starts on the stove and driving side.

Housekeeping

With Lan. Sample shift: 06:30 to 14:30.

  • Help with breakfast: set out and clear the lounge from 07:30 to 09:30, wash up.
  • Turn the rooms between check-out at 12:00 and check-in at 14:00: change beds, wash blankets, clean bathrooms, warm the blankets before guests go up.
  • Climb the stairs many times a day: 46 stone steps from the gate to the lounge, then 12 to 30 to each room. You need to be fit for it.

Front desk

With Ngân. Sample shift: 14:00 to 22:00, or 07:00 to 15:00 on busy days.

  • Answer phone, Zalo and email; quote free rooms, totals and deposits exactly as the rate table and booking policy say.
  • Welcome guests from 14:00, check ID cards and passports, register stays through the official channel.
  • Clear written Vietnamese. Good English is a strong plus, because many guests read the English site.

Stoves and upkeep

With Vinh. Sample shift: 12:00 to 22:00; on cloud-hunting days it starts at 04:30 with a break in the middle of the day.

  • Light and watch the wood stoves in the three stove rooms and the lounge from 18:00 to 22:00. Guests never light them, so whoever does must be there for the full hours.
  • Carry luggage from the gate to the rooms.
  • Small repairs around the timber house: hinges, floorboards, stone steps. A driving licence is a plus, to cover the Liên Khương airport and cloud-hunting runs.

How to apply

When a role opens, this page will list it with the shift, the pay and a closing date. Email contact@thenexova.com with the role in the subject line, a few lines on the work you have done, and when you could start. No photo needed.

The four people who work here now are on the team page. Why the house has only eight rooms is in our story. Questions go through the contact page.
