The vintage train to Trại Mát: we hold the tickets and drive you to the station
The vintage train runs from Đà Lạt station (1 Quang Trung, built in 1938) to Trại Mát on a 7 km line. We call the station for times, hold your tickets at the station price, and drive you there in the house car: 150,000 VND per car, booked 24 hours ahead.

Down the 46 stone steps to the gate; Vinh drives you to Đà Lạt station. Breakfast starts at 07:30, so plan around it if you take an early train.

Collect and pay for the tickets at the counter, at the station price. The building dates from 1938; arrive early and you have time to look around.

The line reopened for passengers in 1991. Get off at Trại Mát, walk around, then take the return train to Đà Lạt.
The Dalat vintage train to Trại Mát is a short ride on a 7 km stretch of the old railway. Đà Lạt station is at 1 Quang Trung and was built in 1938; the 7 km line was brought back into passenger service in 1991. Our part is three jobs: ring the station for times, hold the tickets for you at the station price, and drive you to the station in the house car.
Why we do not list times or fares
The sources we read on 4 October 2026 give different timetables and different fares, and times can shift with the season. Posting a number that turns out wrong at the counter is worse than posting none. So this page says “tickets at the station price” and nothing more. Ngân calls the station when she holds your tickets and tells you the time and the price before you pay.
Morning or afternoon
For a morning train, eat early (breakfast starts at 07:30) or have it when you get back, since it runs until 09:30. Afternoons are more relaxed, and if you went cloud hunting that morning you still get a rest at midday. Price and booking
The car to the station is 150,000 VND per car, 24 hours’ notice. Train tickets are charged at the station price, with nothing added. Add it to your request on the booking page or message Ngân. Questions
How much is the train ticket?
We do not print a fare here: sources disagree and the station can change it. Ngân checks the price when she holds your tickets and tells you before you pay. You pay the station price; we add nothing to the ticket.
What time does the train run?
Published times differ between sources and may change with the season. Ngân confirms the times for your day with the station before she sets the car time.
Does the 150,000 VND include the ride back?
The 150,000 VND covers the car from our gate to the station. If you want to be picked up from the station afterwards, tell Ngân when you book and we will schedule it and quote it upfront.
